Northern Health Authority (NHA, Owner) is requesting quotes for the Nurse call head end replacement at University Hospital of Northern British Columbia, East wing, 1475 Edmonton Street, Prince George, BC V2M 1S2. The project scope includes the following work. Unless noted otherwise, the successful contractor is to supply and install all work noted below: a) Decommissioning existing responder 4000 head ends and supply and install responder 5000 or equivalent head ends. All head ends are located in telecom closets in each level. b) Supply and install consoles at each nurse station which compatible with head ends and nurse call devices. c) Integrate the new head ends and consoles with the existing field devices. d) Preferably reuse all existing field devices, such as Nurse Call (NC) single bed call station, NC double bed call station, NC emergency call pull-cord station, NC pushbutton station, NC cardiac arrest (code blue) pushbutton station, NC tone station, NC staff station, etc. Otherwise, if not compatible with the existing system field devices, supply and replace them. e) Decommission existing Responder 4000 head ends, and consoles. f) Interface the new head ends to the fire alarm system. g) No additional cabling CAT 6 to room devices. h) System testing commissioning and training. i) Preparation as-build drawings for the project. The upgrade to be supplied must be compatible with the Vocera Smartbadge system through the Engage middleware.
