Roof replacement for hurricane town elementary school and hurricane high school gymnasium the putnam county board of education, hereinafter referred to as the owner, invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for roof replacement for hurricane town elementary school and hurricane high school gymnasium according to bidding documents prepared by zmm architects and engineers. The Work of this Project is defined by the Contract Documents, and consists of the following: 1. Roof tear-off and replacement with new EPDM membrane roof over new roof insulation in areas indicated on the Drawings. 2. Removal and re-installation of rooftop mechanical equipment. 3. Gymnasium roof tear-off and replacement with new EPDM membrane roof over new roof insulation. 4. Reconstruction of parapet walls along roof perimeter where indicated. Locations- Hurricane Town Elementary School, 300 Harbour Lane, Hurricane, West Virginia 25526 and Hurricane High School Gymnasium located at 3350 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, West Virginia 25526. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, in accordance with the instructions to bidders. Each bidder must be registered with the west virginia department of tax and revenue prior to the time and date for receipt of bids in order for his bid to be considered. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall execute and deliver to the owner within 10 days after the award, and before signing the contract, a performance bond and payment bond utilizing the bond forms bound in the project manual each in a penal sum equal to at least the contract sum and the cost of such bonds shall be included in the bid.
