Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fargo, North Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project shall include the construction of Southdale Farms Second Addition Lot 2 Blk 1 Grading; consisting of storm sewer, unclassified excavation, seeding, straw mulch, and other miscellaneous items. The project will consist of the following items: Est. Value Notes: $200,000.00-$300,000.00 4230 CY of Unclassified Excavation 287 LF of 36IN Storm Sewer 10.88 AC of Seeding and Straw Mulch 1060 LF of 6IN Fiber Rolls Vehicle Tracking Pad Traffic Control and all miscellaneous work necessary therefore and incidental thereto. The bid shall be accompanied by a Bidder s Bond in a separate envelope in the amount of five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid, executed by the Bidder as Principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in North Dakota. The OWNER retains the right to reject any or all of the bids submit ted and to waive any informality in any bid and to hold all bids for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from said date of opening and to hold the three low bids and bid securities for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from said date of bid opening. The work is to commence upon a date to be specified by the OWNER, notice of which will be given to the successful bidder ten (10) days in advance of the start of construction. The Contractor will be required to commence construction, and in an approved sequence. complete all of the work for the project by as noted below: Substantial Completion June 20, 2026 Final Completion July 4, 2026 The Contractor shall have on hand the pipe, gaskets, adapters and all other items to complete the project. If the items are not used, the cost to restock the items shall be considered incidental to the project. The Contractor will be required to have on hand the necessary fittings, valves and corporation stops to complete the project. If the Contractor is required to take back any of the fittings, valves, corporation stops, etc., the cost of restocking shall be considered incidental to the project. 01.3.02 BACKFILL SETTLEMENT A. Where the Contractor has installed backfill in trenches or other excavations made by him, and where settlement has occurred prior to the Contractor's bond expiration date, the Contractor shall return the surface to required grade. In paved areas, the Contractor shall add paving materials in a method satisfactory to the Engineer. If no satisfactory method of adding pavement exists, the Contractor shall remove the pavement, recompact the subgrade, and repave the area. In turfed areas, the area of settlement shall be filled with black dirt and the area seeded or sodded replaced. In aggregate areas, additional aggregate shall be added to the depressed area to return the depression to grade. All costs associated with correcting settlement shall be the expense of the Contractor Any interpretation or correction of the documents will be made only by Addendum duly issued. Notice of the Addendum will be e-mailed to the address provided by plan holders that obtained digital copies of the documents. Said plan holders are required to download the Addendum. Hard copies of the Addendum will be sent to plan holders that purchased a paper copy of the documents. Neither the OWNER nor the ENGINEER will be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the Contract Documents.
