Request for Qualifications/Proposals Design Services - WSVL Air Handler Replacement. Project Description: Design and construction administration services for the replacement and upgrade of the existing three (3), 18,500cfm air handling units at the Wyoming State Vet Lab. Respondents requiring clarification or interpretation of the solicitation documents shall make a written request to the Owner, no later than 12:00 pm (MDT), September 24, 2025, Design services for the replacement ofthe Air Handling Units (AHUs) in the second floor mechanical room of the Wyoming State Vet Lab. A basis of design has been supplied to upgrade these 1983 vintage AHUs. Sequences of construction and switching between equipment will be initialized during the design phase. Designer will be responsible for identifying phasing of work for contractor to ensure all building systems will remain operational, in some form, during construction to minimize outage windows. Designer will provide a cost opinion to complete the construction portion of the project. Support will continue through the construction/material prebid phase and with construction administration. All work included in the construction phase is planned to be awarded to a single contractor, but the replacement of AHUs will be phased one at a time. The existing/new AHUs will be removed/delivered from/to the 2nd floor maintenance room in pieces while a temporary unit provides conditioned air. Surrounding systems in the maintenance room may require relocation and/or temporary replacement systems. Construction contractor to supply all new material, including AHUs.
