The project consists of water main replacement construction of approximately one quarter section within the Mission Manor neighborhood. Tucson Water will relocate distribution water mains from the alley to the street within the Mission Manor Neighborhood, The work will consist of 6 and 8 inch water main pipe, fire hydrants and water services. This project is a collaboration with the Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) for pavement removal and replacement. PRICE RANGE: Between $11,000,000.00 and $15,000,000.00 The quarter section is delineated from Valencia Road to W. Bilby Road, and S. Missiondale Road to S. 12th Avenue. Valencia Road and S. 12th Avenue will not be part of the design, although connections to valves within these existing mains will be required. The new pipeline alignments will be in the street and existing mains within the alleys will be abandoned in place. Cover Sheet of 100% plans included. Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid bond issued by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Arizona and acceptable to the City, or by a certified check or cashier's check on a bank doing business in the City of Tucson, payable to the City of Tucson, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid (including any alternates) as stated in the Proposal, as a guarantee that the Successful Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract to perform the Work in the manner and form required by the Contract Documents, and will the furnish the required Performance and Payment Bonds. Failure of the Successful Bidder to execute a contract and file the required bonds within the timeframe specified in the Notice of Intent to Award letter, shall be just cause for the cancellation of the award and may be cause for the forfeiture of the Bid Bond or other Bid securities, which shall become the property of the City of Tucson, not as a penalty, but as liquidation of damages sustained by the City. Award may then be made to the next lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, or the Work may be re-advertised or abandoned, as the City may decide.
