A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Installation of (3) Sets of Platforms, Ladders, Handrails, and Safety Gates Project to install work platforms. Platforms should be made 40in x 96in with 4 in toe plate on both sides, This requires using a 48in x 96 in x 1/4in aluminum diamond plate and bending a 4in toe plate on both 96in sides, for a total of 185 linear ft for each cell block and a total of 10 cell blocks = 1850 ft Or 232 sheets of metal. Ladders; Ladders should be constructed of 2in x 3/8in hot roll flat bar and lin hot roll round solid rungs on 12in centers with grab rails extending 42in above platform, 2 ladders needed per cell block for a total of 20 ladders to be connected to the platform by bolts - will have to weld clips to the ladders and platforms to make bolt up connections, will need a quantity of 4 bolts per ladder 1 1/4 long with flat washers, lock washers and nuts for a total of 80 bolts, 160 flat washers, 80 lock washers and 80 nuts, ladders must be anchored to the floor with 1/2 in wedge anchors 4inches long. Platform support; platform supports should be constructed of 3in x 3in x 1/4in hot roll angle to make an angle bracket with a brace, angle bracket should be 48in x 36in with a brace and anchored to solid block wall with 2 - 1/2 in wedge anchors on the 36 in side the platforms will set on these. 31 needed per cell block for a total of 310 to be placed every 6 ft. 620 anchors required and aluminum platforms will need to bolt to these as well with 4 - 3/8 bolts per 8ft section of platform. Safety Gates; There will be a total of 20 safety gates needed to be installed on the top of each ladder opening inwards and designed to fit the width ladder used, field measurements will be needed to determine the width of ladders and safety gates. Handrails; Handrails will not be needed along walls and cells but will be needed on open ends where there are ladders, 20 handrails in total to close the gaps field measurements will be needed for these a total of 20 times, handrails will need bolt connections to the ladder and anchors to the wall to minimize welding, handrails need to be 42in tall and constructed from 1 1/2 x 1/8 carbon sq tubing and should have 4in toe plates.
