On behalf of the State of Colorado, the Colorado Department of Transportation is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for consideration and to satisfy a need for repairs at the US50 New York Ave MM 156.7 Traffic Signal Pole. The initial term of the awarded Contract or Purchase Order is anticipated to begin on December 1, 2025, and end on May 1, 2026. The total duration of the Contract or Purchase Order, including all options, is not anticipated to exceed six (6) months. SDVOSB Offerors must submit documentation of certification issued through the U.S. Small Business Administration in their bid. 24-103-905 C.R.S. sets a SDVOSB goal of at least 3% of all contracts by dollar value be awarded to SDVOSBs who must be incorporated or organized in Colorado or they mustmaintain a place of business or have an office in Colorado and must be officially registered and verified as a SDVOSB by the United States Small Business Administration. PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project will replace the traffic signal pole (Structure Number 050A156700A) on the southeast corner of the intersection on US50 at New York Ave in Gunnison, CO near US50 MM 156.7. Other work includes the installation of conduit, pull boxes, and wiring. The work shall include all materials, labor, and equipment needed to complete the work. The work shall be completed by May 1, 2026. The allowable working hours are 7am to 7pm, Monday through Friday. Weekend work will be allowed as needed with pre-approval by the CDOT project manager. The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing the signal pole anchor bolts, anchor bolt template, mast arm connection bolts, mast arm end cap, and pole end cap for a 60ft mast arm signal pole conforming to CDOT's S-614-40 Standard Plan of the M&S. The signal pole anchor bolts, anchor bolt template, mast arm H.S. connection bolts, mast arm end cap, and pole end cap items shall conform to the M&S for dimension, final surfacing and number of as applicable to S-614-40 and the Specifications book. Pole diameters may be available after the notice to proceed. The traffic signal pole will be available for pickup in the Gunnison area.
