for the furnishing to Town of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation- Phase 1 (the "Project"). Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after the Bid opening date. The objective of this project is to upgrade and maintain the sanitary sewer infrastructure along Parrott Drive and Melrose Court. The work involves the replacement, rehabilitation, or new installation of approximately 3,400 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer pipe at various locations throughout the Town, within the public right-of-way and easement area. Pipe installation will use either open trench or horizontal directional drilling (HDD) (at the contractor's discretion) and by pipe-bursting in easement areas. The project includes the removal of existing asbestos concrete pipe (ACP) mains where identified, the abandonment, removal, replacement, and rehabilitation of sanitary sewer manholes and laterals as shown in the plans. Additional work involves identifying and establishing staging areas and furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and services necessary to complete the project. The contractor must adhere to the Town's Standard Details, Specifications, and Plans. The work is to be complete within a period of 135 calendar days. The Town does not assume any liability or responsibility based on any defective or incomplete copying, excerpting, scanning, faxing, downloading or printing of the Bid Documents. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Town, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to Town of Hillsborough as bid security.
