Contractor awarded this work will be responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to this project including the State of Illinois requirements relating to prevailing wage and preference to citizens on public works. The City of Rock Island reserves the right to determine the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; to waive irregularities, and to reject any or all bids. Completion Dates: December 19, 2025 The successful Bidder shall be required to provide a Performance, Labor, Material and Maintenance Bond on the form included in these specifications. In case of conflict with any part or parts of said specifications, said special provisions shall take precedent and shall govern. A cross-country event on the weekend of November 1st with its course across the construction access road shall require the start of work to be Monday, November 3rd Allconstruction operations shall be completed by December 19, 2025. All related paper work (including change orders, time and materials force accounts and final quantities) should be completed and submitted to the Engineer no later than 30 calendar days following the completion of construction. Liquidated damages shall be assessed to the Contractor in accordance with Article 108 of the Standard Specifications for any work or related paper work that remains uncompleted after the above stated deadlines. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond on the Department form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, by a bank cashier's check or a properly certified check for not less than five percent of the amount bid, or for the amount specified in the following schedule.
