The Spring Street/Highway 29 Intersection Project will rehabilitate the intersection to enhance pedestrian cyclist, and vehicular safety through improved infrastructure and visibility measures. Funded by a $500,000 Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant, the project includes the following safety and accessibility enhancements: -Reconfiguration and restoration of pedestrian paths of travel. -Installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps and curb extensions. -Installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) for pedestrian crossings. -High-visibility crosswalks, updated road striping, and traffic signage. -Replacement of sidewalk, curb, and cutter infrastructure.
