Proposals are requested upon the work as follows: Directional drill 116 LF of 6" pvc pipe, remove and replace an inlet and installation of a 4' manhole and associated work. Bid packages for this project will be available by request via email to Al Deany of Andrews Engineering at adeany@andrews-eng.com. The completion date of the project shall be on or before December 31, 2025. Construction cannot start until November 10, 2025. The Village has determined that the project will not be subject to the State of Illinois sales tax. Thus, proposals shall not include sales tax amounts in their prices. The Village of Cooksville reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bids. Bids may be held by the Village of Cooksville for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the openings of the bids for the purpose of reviewing and investigating the bids prior to awarding of the contract. All bids will be prepared using the unit price method and a proposed schedule of the work to be performed. After the bids are opened and read, they will be compared on the basis of price, materials and schedule. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor shall comply with the "Illinois Complied Statutes for Employment, Prevailing Wage Act 820 ILCS 130". The prevailing wages for McLean County in effect during the time of actual project construction shall apply. The Contractor shall comply with all other components of the Prevailing Wage Act regarding reporting of wages, etc. The Contractor shall provide proof of insurance naming the Village of Cooksville as an additional insured with coverages for each occurrence of $1,000,000 and general aggregate of $2,000,000. The Contractor shall provide proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance prior to starting work. The Contractor shall personally and individually agree and covenant, and shall furnish and provide sufficient evidence of insurance, to indemnify, protect, defend at its own cost, and hold harmless the Village of Cooksville or its agent from and against all losses, damages, injuries, costs, expenses or claims thereof to or by persons or property, arising out of, though, under or by virtue of the erection specified in this proposal.
