The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction (DAC) intends to establish a contract with one or more qualified vendors to perform inspections of and maintenance on portable fire extinguishers and kitchen fire suppression systems installed at most DAC correctional centers and institutions, Correction Enterprises manufacturing plants, administrative office buildings and other DAC owned buildings in the state of North Carolina including State owned vehicles on site on the day of inspection. PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction (DAC) intends to establish a contract with one or more qualified vendors to perform inspections and maintenance on portable fire extinguishers and kitchen fire suppression systems installed at most DAC correctional centers and institutions, Correction Enterprises manufacturing plants, administrative office buildings and other DACowned buildings in the state of North Carolina including State owned vehicles on site on the day of inspection. For bidding purposes, correctional facilities, manufacturing plants and administrative buildings to be covered by the agreement have been divided into four (4) geographic (Regional) areas, as follows: A. Central Region B. Eastern Region C. South Central Region D. Western Region The intent of this solicitation is to award an Agency Specific Contract. CONTRACT TERM The Contract shall have an initial term beginning on the date of final Contract execution (the "Effective Date") and will expire on June 30, 2027. Submit Written Questions Vendor October 8, 2025, by 4:00PM ET. Provide Response to Questions State October 10, 2025. These visits must be completed no later than Friday, October 3, 2025, and no later than 3:00PM Eastern Time.
