Site work and paving for a road / highway in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The scope of work is as follows: pulverization, reclamation, and removal of the existing pavement, placing and compacting gravel base, and placement of base and top courses of bituminous pavement. Also included in the work is the replacement of two wheel chair ramps. Work to be performed must be completed within 180 days after execution of the awarded contract. All Contractors must be pre-qualified through the Massachusetts Department of Transportation with the class of work as PAVEMENT-SURFACING A bid deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany the Bid and be made payable to the Town of Shrewsbury. The Town reserves the right to waive any minor informalities in the bids and to reject any and all bids if it shall be deemed in the best interests of the Town to do so. Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) policies of the Town of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts are applicable to this contract. The goal for this project is a minimum of five (5) percent MBE participation and five (5) percent WBE participation by State-certified MBEs and WBEs.
