The contract will consist of pumping, transportation, and disposal of sludge generated by the Upper Bern Township Wastewater Treatment Plant (UBTWWTP) for the Calendar Year 2026. The contract shall include removing and hauling an average of 39,000 gallons per month of settled sludge (avg. 2% solids) from the UBTWWTP and disposing of it at an approved Department of Environmental Protection site. Instructions to bidders: Proposals must be upon forms furnished by Upper Bern Township and envelopes marked "Sludge Hauling Services." Upper Bern Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Sealed proposals can be dropped off at the Upper Bern Township Municipal Building, 25 N. 5th Street, Shartlesville, PA 19554 by Wednesday, October 8th by 11:00 a.m. or mailed to Upper Bern Township Municipal Building. Bid packets can be picked up at the Upper Bern Township Municipal Building, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday or via the listed email.
