The Aurora Sanitary Sewer District No. 1 is seeking bids for the construction of the "Lift Station Replacement" that includes the following major items of work: o Replacement, relocation and abandonment of an existing sanitary sewer lift station, as well as all necessary sanitary sewer main installation needed to relocate the existing lift station approximately 160' easterly. The Work will be substantially completed on or before October 20, 2026 ; Final completion- November 13, 2026 Bid(5.0%), Performance(100%), Payment(100%), Certified Check 12-inch SDR 26 PVC Gravity Sanitary Sewer a. Measurement will be by the unit linear foot of pipe installed, of the designated size, measured in place horizontally over the centerline of the pipe from centerline of manhole casting to centerline of manhole casting. b. Payment will include all materials, labor, and equipment required for excavation; excavation of rocks smaller than 1 cubic yard and rock that does not require blasting; separating removal and disposal of rocks not suitable for use in backfill (stones larger than 6 inches in diameter); removal and disposal of unsuitable or excess material; complete removal and disposal of all existing manholes and existing sewer pipe and abandoned water main encountered within the limits of the trench excavation; furnishing and installing pipe, pipe bedding, miscellaneous caps, bends and fittings; trenching; bedding; haunching; backfill; testing; compaction; grading; temporary removal and replacement of obstacles; temporary surface water control; temporary sheeting and bracing and protection of existing facilities; verification of existing pipe sizes, angles and inverts prior to ordering manhole; temporary by-pass pumping, and provision of record drawings (as-builts). Payment will also include any bulkheading of abandoned pipe leaving the excavated trench. Payment will further include CCTV televising of all sanitary sewer mains installed as part of this project. 48-inch Dia. Sanitary Sewer Manhole and Cover a. Measurement will be by the unit vertical foot for manholes as measured from invert out to the rim of the casting. b. Payment will include all materials, labor, and equipment required for clearing and grubbing, excavation, excavation of rocks smaller than 1 cubic yard and rock that does not require blasting, separating, removal and disposal of rocks not suitable for use in backfill (stoneslarger than 6 inches in diameter); complete removal and disposal of all existing manholes and existing sewer pipe encountered within the limits of the trench excavation; abandonment of obsolete manholes outside the trench and bulkheading of associated obsolete piping; base aggregate; backfill; compaction; hauling and disposal of excess excavated material; pipe connections; cover and casting, including adjustment rings; temporary surface water control; temporary sheeting and bracing and protection of existing facilities; providing record drawings (i.e. as-builts); and all other appurtenances required to complete the work. Payment will incorporate geotextile fabric as shown on the project drawings. 6-inch D.I.P. Sanitary Sewer Forcemain a. Measurement will be by the unit linear foot as measured in place horizontally over the centerline of the pipe through fittings with no deduction for same and measured to the outside wall of the sanitary sewer lift station and to the limits as shown on the plans. b. Payment includes all excavation including rock that does not require blasting for removal by conventional methods and boulders less than one (1) cubic yard in size; pipe bedding; removal and disposal of existing piping, disposal of unsuitable or excess material; separating, removal, and disposal of rocks not suitable for use in backfill (stones larger than six (6) inches in diameter); trench backfill; clearing and grubbing; temporary removal and replacement of obstacles; flushing and pressure testing; compaction; capping of existing pipe leaving the trench; furnishing and installing the pipe, bends, connections, fittings, caps, and adaptors; temporary surface water control; temporary sheeting and bracing and protection of existing facilities; and provision of record drawings (as-builts). Special Backfill is not included in this pay item.
