The City of Prince Rupert seeks proposals from qualified proponents for services related to the installation, data monitoring, and maintenance of temporary influent wastewater flow monitoring and refrigerated autosampling equipment at the Industrial Park Sanitary Sewer Treatment Facility, located at 151 Mish-Aw Road, Prince Rupert BC, for one year. The contractor will evaluate the facility, install and maintain temporary influent wastewater flow monitoring equipment and a refrigerated autosampler, collect flow monitoring data, and report on the results. There is an option for the City to purchase the flow monitoring instrumentation and refrigerated autosampler after service completion. The City will arrange a separate agreement for handling and analysis of collected wastewater samples. Samples collection and flow monitoring must occur at the inlet of the treatment facility where influent is well-mixed, at a location where flow is consistent and not influenced by temporary variations or localized disturbances. Two possible locations for sample collection and flow monitoring have been identified: composite wastewater sample collection from the treatment system splitter box upstream, or flow monitoring within manholes upstream of the treatment facility. The successful proponent will be responsible for these services for a one-year period.
