This Project Involves the Replacement of the Existing 31’ Single Span Reinforced Concrete Closed Spandrel Arch Structure Over Mill Creek With a 32’ X 9’ Clear Height Rigid Frame Structure. The Existing Structure is 18’-8” Curb to Curb (and 22’-8” Out to Out) Wide With Concrete Parapets Built in 1912. The Total Length of the Existing Structure is 31’- 0”. The Proposed Structure Has a 60-degree Skew Which Matches the Existing Structure. The Out-to-out Structure Width of the Proposed Structure is 28’-0” Which Provides Two (2) 10’-0” Lanes and Two (2) 2’-0” Minimum Shoulders. Moment Slabs Will Be Utilized to Allow for Barrier Transitions at the Far End. The Near End Barriers Will Transition on the Structure. The Paved Roadway Will Continue Across the Structure With a 5” Thick Distribution Slab Below Grade Across the Structure. The Project Will Include Minor Approach Roadway Reconstruction and Other Miscellaneous Construction, as Indicated on the Approved Drawings Included in the Bid Package for State Route 4009, Section 02b in Lehigh County Lowhill Township From Approximately Between the Intersection of Sr 4009 (Mill Creek Road) and Mill Road at Segment 0030 Offset 3273 to Approximately at the Intersection of Sr 4009 and Browning Road at Segment 0040 Offset 0462.
