Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Wilton, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The work consists of the replacement of Bridge No. 04981, Cannon Road over Norwalk River in Wilton, CT. Bidders are required to submit the "Bid Proposal Form", "Schedule of Prices", "Bid Bond", "Non-Collusion Affidavit" and "Bidder's Prequalification" approval letter signed by the CTDOT Contracts Manager as part of the bid package. All Proposals must be on the form furnished by the Municipality. Bidders must be responsible for all printing and shipping costs for the documents and refer to the provided websites for plans and specifications. Bidders must use the Surety Company Bond, on the form furnished by the Municipality, for at least 30 percent of the bid amount. Contractors or Subcontractors engaged in surface preparation and/or coating application must be certified by the Steel Structures Painting Council. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Pre-qualification requirements: Prospective bidders must have a current sworn Statement (CON-16) on file with the Connecticut Department of Transportation and be prequalified to perform Group No. 8 (Minor Bridges) work. The "Bidder's Prequalification" approval letter signed by the CTDOT Contracts Manager must be included in the bid submission.
