Christian Bollwage Finance Academy, School #90 for the Elizabeth Board of Education. The contract is for an Overall Single Prime (all of the work, Lump Sum, All Trades, All Inclusive). Bids must be submitted on the designated proposal forms, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and Project. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or Bid Bond drawn to the Order of the "Elizabeth Board of Education" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000). Bid submission also requires a Certificate of Consent of Surety from a Surety company to provide a performance/payment bond in the full amount of the contract. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty days after the opening date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informality if in the best interest of the Owner. Employment requirements and minimum wage rates under N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq must be observed. Bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 as well as P.L. 1975, Chapter 127. If the bid exceeds $20,000, all bidders must pre-qualify with the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Building and Construction, and submit an affidavit certifying their prequalification in Category C008 or C009. Bidding is in accordance with Public School Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq). Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor under the Public Works Contractor Registration Act.
