Renovation of a fire / police facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade fire / police facility.

Project No: 23038, 10152025 CONTRACT 11-25 Question Deadline 10/30/2025 at 12:00 PM ET All questions must be in writing to the USA Architects, Daniel Hopkins, dhopkins@usaarchitects.com and copy Tracy Dunay, tdunay@usaarchitects.com. The project consists of flood mitigation protocols from FEMA at the Elizabeth Fire Department Headquarters, located at 411 Irvington Plaza, Elizabeth, New Jersey. Work includes, but is not limited to, the installation of flood barriers, gates, doors, drains, and hatches, including structural, plumbing, and electrical work as indicated by the contract documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in the amount of ten percent of the total amount of the bid, not exceeding $20,000. Each bidder must also submit a certificate from a responsible surety company stating it will provide, if successful, surety bonds in the amount of one hundred percent of the contracted price. Proposals must include one original. Bidders must comply with specified state statutes and submit certain affidavits as required by the City. The successful bidder must furnish the required bonds and certificates of insurance and execute the contract within ten calendar days of award. Construction must begin within ten calendar days after written notice to proceed is given and must proceed regularly and uninterruptedly to completion within the specified contract period. The City reserves the right to waive minor discrepancies or reject any or all bids and to require concurrent performance of other contracts if applicable.
