The work includes fiber optic communications such as cables, patch panels, splice panels, splices, and connectors. If SYSTIMAX™ products are used, they must be installed, terminated, tested, and documented by a SYSTIMAX™ Washington Business Partner. Copper communications, including TIA-568 Category 5 or higher performance cables, patch panels, terminal blocks, and connectors are also included, with the same SYSTIMAX™ requirements. Work may also cover installations of RG-6 Coaxial and Heliax and innerducts, often co-located with SYSTIMAX™ cables in raceways and junction boxes. At least one individual must be badged for AOA/SIDA access and qualified to install Systimax/Commscope fiber optic systems. Testing and labeling are part of the scope. Bids must be submitted via email. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and requirements regarding environmental responsibility, worker safety, labor, anti-discrimination, and anti-human trafficking, and adhere to the Values and Standards of the Port of Seattle.
