The I-10 Mount Vernon Avenue Improvement Project will improve traffic operations as well as improve bicycle and pedestrian access along Mount Vernon Avenue through the interchange. The Project will replace the existing bridge structure with a new steel girder bridge. The new and wider bridge will add additional left-turn movements at the five-legged intersection of Mount Vernon Avenue and East Valley Boulevard. In addition, the new bridge span will accommodate future freeway widening of Interstate 10.
