The Contractor shall perform all Work within the time stipulated in the Contract, and shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, utility services, and transportation to complete all of the Work required in strict compliance with the Contract Documents as specified in Article 5, below, for the following Project: Villasenor Library - Parking Lot Surfacing, PR26-002, Specifications No. 13663 Contractor is an independent contractor and not an agent of the City. The Contractor and its surety shall be liable to the City for any damages arising as a result of the Contractor's failure to comply with this obligation. The project also entails removing and replacing the existing ramps with two (2) new ADA-compliant ramps, as well as installing ADA striping, signage, and markings for the designated handicap parking stalls, including the walking path from the loading area of the stalls to the ADA ramps. Additional work includes repairing and painting the existing concrete trench drain gutter and the concrete slab in front of the trash enclosure, with the slab to be saw-cut into panels. The existing gutter near the curb will be cleaned, and all curb drain holes will be inspected and cleaned to ensure they are functioning properly. The work includes resurfacing the existing parking lot at the Villasenor Library, installation of ADA-compliant accessibility improvements, striping, and associated site preparation. All work shall be performed in accordance with the project's technical specifications and plans.
