As of October 2, 2025, an engineer has been selected, and this project is in the schematic design phase. Design is expected to be completed by January 2026. It is anticipated bidding will commence in March 2026. Construction is projected to start in summer 2026 and end in fall 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Medina is inviting interested consulting firms to submit a Statement of Qualification for the following City projects: Design Services for o E. Smith Road Reconstruction, Phase 2 o Uptown Loop Multi- Purpose Path, Phase 1 The City of Medina will utilize a qualifications-based selection process to select design consultants for each of these projects individually. Firms interested in submitting a Letter of Interest (LOI) for consideration of award for any of these projects must contact the City of Medina to acquire the LOI Informational Packet. The City will only review Letter of Interest received from those firms that acquire the LOI Informational Packet. These projects are being funded primarily with City and State funding. To be eligible for award, consultants are required to hold certain ODOT pre-qualifi- cations. Consultants, at their discretion, may submit an LOI for one or both projects. Depending upon the review of the LOIs, the City may elect to award design service contracts to one or more firms submitting. Responses received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The City of Medina reserves the right to reject any and all Statements of Qualifications submitted and the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the selection process.
