Renovation of a water / sewer project in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
As of October 31, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The work includes general surface cleaning and preparation, diamond grinding of floor surfaces, minor surface repairs, and the application of new urethane and epoxy coatings to the floors of various service buildings located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Water Treatment Plant. Bids must be sealed and submitted on the provided bid forms, clearly marked as 2025 Concrete Floor Coatings Bid. The successful bidder must execute and file the proper contract and bonding within 15 days after the Notice of Award. Required contract security includes a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in an amount equal to the contract amount. No undated, unsigned, late, or emailed proposals will be considered. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the bid opening. The Lake Geneva Utility Commission reserves the right to accept the most advantageous bid, waive any informalities, or reject any or all bids. The Lake Geneva Utility Commission - Wastewater Utility currently operates a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), which contains various structures for the treatment process. The existing coatings on the concrete floors in the Headworks Building, Effluent Building, Generator Room, Digester Building, and Process Building have deteriorated due to use, age, and environment, and require maintenance. Similarly, the Utility Commission also operates a Water Treatment Plant (WTP), where concrete floors within the filter rooms and vehicle bays have deteriorated due to use, age, and environment, and require maintenance. The WWTP work areas are comprised of the Headworks building upper & lower floors with dimensions of 28'L x 21'W, and 37'L x 31'W with a 5'x5' and a 4'x4' stair landing, Effluent building floor area that is 20'L x 15.5'W, Generator room floor area that is 31'L x 16'W, Digester building upper & lower floors with dimensions of 24'L x 22'W and 24'L x 22'W, and the Process building upper & lower floors with dimensions of 54'L x 19.5'W and 52'L x 36.5'W. The WTP work area is comprised of a vehicle bay that is 36'x36', the Plant A filter room that is 35' x 38', and the Plant B filter room floor that is 50' x 82'. The WTP work areas are requested as a bid alternate with mandatory pricing, subject to the awarding of the primary work areas at the WWTP. All dimensions are approximate square footage of the overall floor area and do not consider any pump or filter bases, piping penetrations, or aluminum grating. Field measurements are necessary to reduce estimates for these areas to accurately account for the required coating quantities. Photos of the general work areas are enclosed with this information. Any questions related to this request should be directed to Josh Gajewski, Utility Director, at jgajewski@lgutilities.org . All necessary clarifications will be documented and issued through formal addenda. All work to be performed is located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), located at 201 Haskins Street, and the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) located at 361 W Main Street, both within the city of Lake Geneva, WI. The work will consist of the following: 1. Attendance at a pre-construction meeting. 2. Mobilization and demobilization to the site. 3. Preparation of surfaces for the application of the new floor coating to include, diamond grinding, vacuuming and hand power tool cleaning where necessary. 4. Patching of any significant cracks or defectsthat are found after grinding/cleaning with 100% epoxy filler on a T&M basis, under the direction of the Owner. 5. Application of new coating on interior concrete floor surfaces per the manufacturer’s recommendations. 6. Excludes pump base pads, filter bases, piping penetrations, and wall coatings. 7. Utility will remove all non-permanent assets from within the work areas before the contractor mobilizes to the worksite.
