The work includes the completion of a 200,000-gallon spheroid elevated water storage tank with a high-water level of 125 ft. 9 in. located on Wild Ridge Dr. in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Exterior work involves high pressure water cleaning (5,000 to 10,000 psi) and spot power tool cleaning to a SSPC-SP11 standard with the application of a three-coat epoxy urethane fluoropolymer system. Wet interior requires abrasive blast cleaning to a SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard and a three-coat zinc epoxy system. The dry interior requires abrasive blast cleaning of the tops of platforms, the entire transition cone, and spot coating failures to a SSPC-SP6 standard, with a three-coat epoxy system on the transition cone and a spot two-coat epoxy system elsewhere. The foundation is to be water cleaned and coated with a two-coat epoxy system. Cathodic protection work includes replacement of wet interior components and attachment points, with reuse of the existing rectifier and pressure fitting. Repairs include: replacing the access tube manway gasket, installing a gasket on the wet interior roof hatch, replacing the mud valve, replacing the condensate drain line, replacing the fall prevention device on the wet interior ladder, replacing the overflow screen, replacing the roof vent with a pressure vacuum vent, installing a roof painter's railing, installing kickers on the roof handrail and antenna cable brackets, replacing the aviation light, and replacing the dry interior light bulbs. Prequalification of contractors will be reviewed and determined by Dixon Engineering. Contractors with projects in dispute or unfinished due to contract problems will not be prequalified. The contractor is to adhere to the specified work hours and completion schedule, including a maximum tank out-of-service period, with liquidated damages applicable for schedule overruns.
