Renovation of a municipal facility in Augusta, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade municipal facility.

Bid Item #25-255 AUD - Construction and Maintenance Building Renovations for Augusta, GA - Augusta Utilities Department. The Utilities Construction and Maintenance (C&M) Building, built in 1984, was constructed out of the need to expand the offices for our C&M staff. Building is located at 1840 Wylds Road, Augusta, GA 30909. Sealed bids will be received for furnishing construction and maintenance building renovations. A pre-bid conference and a mandatory site visit are required. All questions must be submitted in writing. No bid will be accepted by email; all bids must be received by mail or hand delivered during normal office hours. No bids may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after opening. A 100% performance bond and 100% payment bond are required. All specific requirements in the invitation to bid, including number of copies, timing of submission, required financial data, and other requirements set by the Procurement Department, are material conditions and cannot be waived or modified unless submitted to and approved by the Augusta, Georgia Commission. Bidders must enroll in E-Verify for Georgia public contracts unless exempt. Acquisition of bid documents from unauthorized sources is not recommended as it may result in incomplete or inaccurate information. Instructions: Submit all correspondence by mail or email as directed. Mark the BID number on the envelope. Do not submit bids by email; only by mail or hand delivery. Q/A :- All questions must be submitted in writing by email to procbidandcontract@augustaga.gov to the office of the Procurement Department by Wednesday, October 29, 2025 @ 5:00 P.M. No bid will be accepted by email; all bids must be received by mail or hand delivered. All submittals must be received during our normal office hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. SCOPE OF SERVICES: The Utilities Department is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for removal of furniture, where required, removal and disposal of existing carpets/carpet tiles, installation of new Carpet tiles and LVT tiles, and re-installation of any furniture removed for this work. The detailed Scope of Work and Technical Specifications are outlined in the Scope of Work of this bid document. The Scope of Work for this project includes the removal of furniture where required, removal and disposal of existing carpets/carpet tiles, installation of new carpets/carpet tiles and re-installation of any furniture removed for work. All computers and accessories will be removed and restored by Augusta's IT Staff. Estimated total surface of the floor is 2,700 sq. ft. Bidder will provide Tarkett carpet tiles or equal in fit, form, function, style and quality and provide samples when requested for color selection after the bid is awarded. Bidder will provide Shaw Floor LVT or equal in fit, form, function in style and quality and provide sample when requested for color selection after bid is awarded. Project will include removal of existing carpet tile, proper disposal. Carpet tile replacement will be installed with adhesive. Bidder will also remove existing 4-inch cove base and replace with 4-inch cove base. Cove Base color and material sample will be requested after the bid is awarded. Insert metal and rubber will be required in doorways and any other area that would normally have this material installed. All freight and moving of furniture for installation shall be included in your bid price.
