The project generally consists of: The project includes the installation of approximately 300 feet of new steel bulkhead system with helical anchoring and concrete sheet pile caps and other miscellaneous work at McLeod Park. The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. The Contractor will commence the work required by the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS within 10 calendar days after the date of the NOTICE TO PROCEED and Final Completion of the project will be obtained within 75 calendar days of the NOTICE TO PROCEED date unless the period for completion is extended otherwise by the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, sealed and deposited with the Hancock County Board of Supervisors prior to the hour and date hereinbefore designated. No bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each Bidder must deposit with his proposal, a Bid Bond in an amount equal to 5% (five) percent of its bid, payable to the Hancock County Board of Supervisors, as bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. The Hancock County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein.
