The scope of work encompasses general maintenance, repairs, and/or replacement of the various roof systems at Miami International Airport (MIA) and the General Aviation Airports, including Miami-Opa-locka Executive Airport (OPF), Miami Executive Airport (TMB), Miami Homestead G.A. Airport (X51), Training Airports at Opa-locka West (OPW), Dade-Collier Training and Transition (TNT), and the Cargo Buildings. The exact location and description of the work to be performed will be indicated on Work Orders issued by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) project manager. Work will be on an as-needed basis and includes, but is not limited to, roof leak investigations, roof repairs, flashing repairs, expansion joint repairs, parapet wall repairs, roof replacements, and repairs to other MDAD miscellaneous roofs as required. The contractor must review all documents and scope of work provided by MDAD for each work order. Instructions to bidders include: Contractors must hold a valid, current, and active Roofing Contractor License and have a minimum of five (5) years of verifiable commercial experience in the installation and repair of referenced roof systems and projects at MIA or similar-scale facilities. The contractor must be certified as an approved applicator of all referenced roof systems. If a new firm is established by key employees who have previously met these requirements, MDAD may qualify the new firm at its discretion. Contractors must also be able to demonstrate that their firm or key employees have a minimum of one (1) year of successful business history performing work related to their specific trade. Participation in a mandatory pre-bid conference call and site visit is required. Failure to attend will result in the contractor being considered non-responsive. The contractor must refer to the Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and associated project documents for the detailed scope of work.
