Public Works Building 6 Exterior Painting and Sealing Question Deadline 09/17/2025 at 4:00 PM ET The Bidder must thoroughly examine this entire solicitation. If there is any doubt or obscurity as to the meaning of any part of the IFB, the Bidder may request clarification at the pre-bid conference or by WRITTEN REQUEST to INFOR Supplier Services webpage prior to the deadline for written questions. Bidder is responsible for downloading and bringing a copy of the IFB for the pre-bid conference as copies will not be provided by the City. Interpretations or clarifications in response to such questions will be issued in the form of a WRITTEN ADDENDUM, which shall be released through INFOR. Bidders must register via INFOR to ensure receipt of any addendum issued to the solicitation. Failure to acknowledge receipt of addendum may result in disqualification of bid submitted. The City of Coral Gables is seeking bids from experienced and qualified contractors to provide concrete patching, exterior sealing and painting work at the Public Works Building 6, located on 2800 SW 72nd Ave., Miami, FL 33155 in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications contained in the Invitation for Bid ("IFB"). 2.2 Scope of Work The scope of this project includes the activities listed below, as per the drawings and/or specifications provided: a. Remove loose concrete along the walls and columns. b. Patch/repair all cracks and areas that had loose concrete. c. Pressure wash all areas that are to be painted. d. Remove and replace all existing caulking / sealant from all exterior doors, windows, joints and around concrete columns. e. Remove any loose, peeling or bubbling paint areas and prepare for painting. f. Apply exterior paint primer prior to application of the first exterior coat of paint. (The color of the primer must be darker than final exterior paint color and approved beforehand by the city). g. Apply two (2) exterior acrylic semi-gloss coats of paint over primer. (First coat is to be applied at a minimum of 50% coverage and second coat at 100%). h. Provide two (2) one (1) gallon paint buckets of each type and color of paint for owner use at project completion. Windows and Doors are not included in the painting and shall be covered and protected during the painting process. Paint color is to match existing and must be of similar or better quality than city approved brands SherwinWilliams or Benjamin Moore. All colors are to be approved by owner prior to application. All work to be performed under this contract shall comply with the requirements of the Florida Building Code (FBC) latest edition and all other applicable codes and regulations. The selected Contractor shall be responsible to apply for and secure City of Coral Gables permits and any other agency permit as necessary. The selected Contractor shall pay for all required permits and the City will reimburse the amount paid without any overhead and/or profit. Certified minority business enterprises (as defined in florida statutes 287.0943 and 288.703) and other minority or woman-owned enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. Award of this project will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, who bids on all items, and whose bid offers the lowest total price when all items are added in the aggregate. However, the city reserves the right to consider other conditions, which may be in the best interest of the city. Bid must be firm for ninety (90) calendar days. The city reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time, reject any and/or all submittals, and waive any technicalities, irregularities or any other minor variations.
