Broome DDSO is seeking a contractor to remove existing roof that contain ACM materials and replace with new roofing. The successful bidder shall provide all labor materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to below scope of work and general requirements. A site visit is required. Details regarding setting up site visit are listed after the scope of work and general requirements listed below. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. Remove old roofing off flat roofs. Contractor must be ACM certified and in charge of removal per NYS Building code 56 as there is ACM containing materials in the roof. 2. Contractor cannot start abatement till safety plan is signed by all parties and posted at the job site. 3. Remove old roofing and properly dispose of all materials are contractor's responsibility. 4. Contractor to replace any underlayment on the roof if water damaged or damaged from tear off. Fascia that is damaged from tear off should be replaced also. 5. Contractor to install new rubber roofing Carlisle roofing .090 thickness or equivalent to approved by Maintenance Supervisor. Drip edge on flat roof. 6. Any damaged soffit or facia done by contractor will be contractors responsibility to replace with new. 7. All work done shall comply with NYS Building codes and all other applicable codes. 8. Work must be warrantied for any defects in the roofing or other failures for a period of one year from the time the is paid for the job. 9. All work must be inspected by Maintenance Supervisor before job is considered complete. To be considered for this project, all quotes must be submitted on the Official Bid From provided and include a materials and labor cost break down. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Reminders: This is a Public Works Project and Prevailing Wages MUST be paid. Vendors/sub-contractors must be registered with NYS Dept of Labor to submit a quote. A copy of the certificate is to be sent to us with your quote. This is an RFQ (request for quotes). This is not an IFB (bid). The Broome DDSO intends to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. Broome DDSO reserves the right to reject all quotes. In deciding whether to submit a quote, please be aware the awarded vendor must adhere to the time frames outlined in the scope of work. The awarded vendor will also be required to submit certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms, and signed Appendix A. Please be prepared to submit these in a timely fashion. The Broome DDSO will make no concessions to the vendor for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quantity, quality, character, or other condition. The Broome DDSO's interpretation of specifications shall be final and binding. In the event of a tie, contract will be awarded to the Contractor whose bid was received earliest.
