Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lake Como, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway.
Work consists of approximately 9,440 square yards of pavement milling, 1,160 tons of HMA surface course, 5,135 linear feet of concrete curb, 1,140 square yards of various concrete work, ADA compliant curb ramps, concrete restoration, various drainage improvements, striping, and miscellaneous other related work items. Bids must be submitted on the standard proposal form, enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Lake Como, bearing the bidder's name, address, and the name of the contract. Bids must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide specified performance and maintenance bonds if awarded the contract, and a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for ten percent of the bid amount, payable to the Borough of Lake Como. Upon award, the successful bidder must execute the contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within ten days, or forfeit the deposit as partial satisfaction of liquidated damages. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, waive any informality not detrimental to the Borough, and increase or decrease quantities as specified. Bidders must comply with Affirmative Action and Ownership Disclosure regulations. The contract shall be awarded or all bids rejected within sixty days from receipt, within extensions as permitted by law.
