Sealed bids are requested for MA - 2024 EAST RUTHERFORD EAST UNION AVENUE. The work involves performing the contract in accordance with the specified contract drawings and specifications. All bids must be submitted on the provided forms and state the price in words and figures for each item of the work as shown in the drawings and contemplated in the contract. Bidders must include a signed bid with their business address and place of residence, and the bid must be sealed and labeled appropriately. Each bid requires accompanying documents: consent of surety, non-collusion affidavit, ownership statement, ownership financial statement, and a bid security in the amount of ten percent (up to $20,000) of the total bid amount. Bidders must execute the contract and furnish performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount, within five days of notice. The contractor must begin work within 7 days of contract signing. Proposals must be made upon the provided blank forms and submitted in the bound specification book, which must remain intact. Evidence of ability, capital, experience, and equipment to complete the work within the specified time must be provided. The contract is partially funded by the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority Act.
