Oak Leaf Trail Connectivity - Bender Park Contract Description: Work of the Project includes building a 10-foot-wide asphalt shared-use path approximately 1.33 miles long. Work includes earthwork, storm sewer, concrete ramps, biofilter, signage, native seeding and plants. Substantial Completion Date: September 11 th , 2026 Prime contractor shall perform at least 30 percent of the original contract amount with contractor's own organization per section 108.1.2 of the current edition of the WisDOT standard specifications for highway and structure construction. Specifications and contract documents also known as special provisions are federal, state, or industry-recognized standard specifications and do not conflict with federal laws/regulations. All contract language references the WisDOT Standard Specifications General Requirements and Covenants (Part 1). Contractor shall complete the Affidavit of Non-Collusion that is part of the Bid Form confirming that the bidder has not engaged in any collusion related to the bidding of the project. Milwaukee County project bid summary results will be posted online. Bid summary results may be available a few hours following the Bid Due Date time. Contractors shall employ a minimum of 0% (zero) of the Contract labor force with employees that reside in Milwaukee County. Documentation must be performed by LCPtracker Labor Compliance software. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal for this project is discretionary. To Be Considered for This Project All Required DBE Forms Shall Be Completed and Submitted With Bid as Indicated in Invitation to Bid. Bidder's attention is called to the "Notice of Requirements for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity" (Executive Order 11246), contained in the Bid Documents, which set forth, in part, goals and timetables for the employment of women and minorities in the project area. Prime Contractors Shall Be Qualified Prior to Submitting a Bid in Accordance With Chapter 43 of Milwaukee County Ordinance. Bidders shall submit the completed Subcontractor-Supplier Information Entry with the Bid. Failure to submit this information with Bid may result in rejection of the Bid as non-responsive. A 10 percent bid bond or certified check is required with bid. The low responsive, responsible bidder will be recommended for contract award. Owner reserves right to reject bid, to waive informalities in bid or to accept bid which will be in best interest of Owner. Base Bid shall remain open to acceptance for a period of 60 days after bid due date.
