Replacement of Backwash Check Valves at the Lake Michigan Filtration Plant. Final Completion Date: June 26, 2026 Question Deadline 10/14/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing.Questions received less than 5 business days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. SCOPE OF WORK A. This Section includes a suggested sequence of construction for the Work specified in the Contract Documents. Contractor is not obligated to follow the sequence described herein; Contractor is responsible for means and methods in order to complete the specified Work. B. Contractor will provide detailed construction schedule and work plan sequence to the Owner and Engineer prior to scheduled work starting. 1.02 PROJECT CONSTRAINTS A. Contractor is to coordinate directly with the Owner for all construction activities and shutdowns. B. Contractor is required to keep two (2) backwash pumps in service at all times between May 1st and September 1st. Contractor may keep one (1) backwash pump in service between September 2nd and April 30th. C. At the time the Contractor is ready to perform the field welded flanged outlets, this work will need to be completed within 10 days of original isolation of the system. D. All existing valve operations are to be performed by the Owner. Both Owner and Contractor are to follow lockout and tagout procedures set forth by MIOSHA
