Use appropriate blasting media and size to achieve a 2.0 mil profile. Remove all old paint, grease, scale, rust, oil, dirt, mold, mildew, and other foreign matter immediately before priming. 2.3.4 Abrasive blast all aeration piping support brackets in accordance with Steel Structures Painting Council (SSPC) Method SSPC-SP 3 Power Tool Cleaning. Use appropriate tools to achieve a 2.0 mil profile. Remove all old paint, grease, scale, rust, oil, dirt, mold, mildew, and other foreign matter immediately before priming. 2.3.5 Abrasive blast debris shall be collected and bagged for disposal. Dispose in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. 2.3.6 All surfaces to be coated shall be clean, dry, and have a surface temperature of 5 degrees F above the dew point before applying the coating materials. 2.3.7 Application of the coating shall be performed in accordance with the manufacturer's data sheet for the coating specified for use and in accordance with the Steel Structures Painting Council (SSPC) standard. 2.3.8 Aeration Piping Coating 2.3.8.1 Prime Coat: Sherwin-Williams B62A00480 - DuraPlate 8200 High Temperature Epoxy.
