Renovation of a municipal facility in Marion, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
The scope of work includes interior renovations to the Perry County Courthouse Annex II building, including demolition of a portion of the existing interior layout and construction of a new interior layout with all related utilities. Structural renovations involve the construction of a new roof over a portion of the building footprint. Exterior renovations include the installation of updated exterior lighting and an affixed drainage system, such as gutters and downspouts. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the engineer or copies thereof. Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding those established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of licensure before bidding. The bidder should display the current license number clearly on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive technical errors if, in the owner's judgment, the best interests of the owner will thereby be promoted. Project Location-1710 S. Washington St., Marion, AL 36756 Contract Time: 120 calendar days. Question Deadline 10/24/2025 Should any bidder observe any ambiguity, discrepancy, omission, or error in the drawings and specifications, or in any other bid document, or be in doubt as to the intention and meaning of these documents, the bidder should immediately report such, in writing, to Mr. DeAndrae Kimbrough, P.E., Perry County Engineering Department, P.O. No clarifications will be made within 48 hours of the bid opening The Owner's Representative for this Project shall be: DeAndrae Kimbrough, P.E., Perry County Engineering Department, P.O. Box 478, Marion, AL, 36756, (334) 247-2372, perryeng@bellsouth.net. The Owner's Representative shall be the primary contact for the Contractor during the course of the Project. The Owner will notify the Contractor if the Owner's Representative or any associated contact information changes during the Project.
