The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing the work required to construct the specified improvements according to the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents. The main project is the City of Marion Source Water Rehabilitation Project Contract "B" AMR Water Meter Replacement Project - Installation Only. Principal work for Contract "A" includes procuring approximately 1,215 AMR meters, 750 meter boxes, 607 backflow valves, 415 curb stops, a data collection unit with start-up and support, applicable software, and ancillary system support. Principal work for Contract "B" includes installing approximately 1,215 AMR meters, 750 meter boxes, 607 backflow valves, and 415 curb stops. All material must comply with Build America/Buy America (BABA) requirements, and a letter from manufacturers will be required for project materials. The Supplier for Contract "A" will have 60 consecutive calendar days to complete work, while the Contractor for Contract "B" will have 275 consecutive calendar days; liquidated damages will be assessed if the contract time is exceeded. Bidders are required to follow all applicable Federal guidelines as the project is funded through an EPA Community Grant and SRF ARPA Funds. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept any bid considered advantageous.
