**As of April 22nd, 2026, this project has been awarded to Tri-County Construction for $746,782. ** The work involves providing labor, equipment, and material for Contract 6 - Marion Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Upgrades - CWSRF Project NO. CS010962-01. The principal items of work include upgrades and modifications to sewer lift stations (including new pumps and panels), electrical, and piping and valves. Bidders are instructed that the contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsible, and responsive bidder. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each for one hundred percent of the bid amount, from a bonding company's representative or agent in Alabama. No bids may be withdrawn after the opening; the Owner reserves the right to hold bids for sixty days. Contract time is 200 consecutive calendar days and time is of the essence; liquidated damages will be assessed if the contract time is exceeded. The contractor may apply for an extension but it must be approved before contract completion to avoid damages. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality, and accept any bid considered advantageous. Funds for the project are provided through the Clean Water State Revolving Funds, and all applicable federal guidelines must be met.
