Remodeling of an educational facility in Commerce Township, Michigan. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade educational facility.

The Board of Education will receive firm prime contractor bids to provide mechanical work, electrical work, plumbing, site work, and architectural trades to facilitate the Geisler Remodeling. Each proposal must be submitted in duplicate on the forms furnished by the architect and must be completed in full. The proposal shall be sealed in an opaque envelope and marked with the name of the bidder and the project name. Proposals are to be addressed to the Walled Lake Consolidated School District, with specific identification of "2024 Bond Projects – Geisler Remodeling." Bids must be delivered no later than 12:00 pm (EST), Tuesday November 4th 2025 to the Walled Lake Educational Service Center at 850 Ladd Road, Building D Walled Lake, MI 48390 or electronically through PreconSuite. Proposals received after the date and time specified for bid submission will not be opened, considered, nor accepted; all late proposals will be returned unopened. A bid bond executed by a Treasury listed surety company acceptable to the District or a cashier's check in the amount of at least 5% of the proposal sum, payable to the District, shall be submitted with each proposal over $30,512. Cashier’s checks must be delivered prior to the bid opening for electronically submitted bids using a cashier’s check for bid security. All proposals shall be firm for sixty (60) days. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the Educational Services Center and via Teams, starting at 2:00 pm (EST), November 4th 2025. Successful bidders whose proposals are $50,000 or more will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond by a Treasury listed surety in the amount of 100% of their bid. The cost of the Bond must be included in each proposal. Bids must be accompanied by sworn and notarized statements disclosing any familial relationship between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any board member or the superintendent, as well as affidavits of compliance for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, Criminal Background Checks, and Prevailing Wage (LEO) Registration. Proposals without these statements will not be accepted. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids in whole or in part, to waive informality or irregularity, or to award the contract to other than the low bidder, at its discretion. The District reserves the right to accept the bid which it considers to be in its best interest.
