The City of Hillsboro seeks competitive sealed bids from qualified and experienced firms to furnish all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to complete rockfall mitigation work near the Slow Sand Treatment Plant (SSTP) intake facility. The project will require the Contractor to implement protective measures for existing infrastructure (while maintaining access for the valve key) and to protect the adjacent river from debris impacts. The scope of work includes removing and hauling fourteen identified hazard trees (cut to ground level with roots left intact) and performing slope scaling in accordance with the project plans. In addition, the Contractor shall furnish and install approximately 9,000 square feet of pinned mesh and approximately 1,050 lineal feet of dowel installation, with an additional 300 lineal feet available as supplemental work if required. The work also includes removal and proper disposal of approximately 50 cubic yards of rockfall debris and vegetation (excluding trees and tree branches) at a city-owned disposal area located approximately 0.8 miles from the site, or at a city-approved off-site facility at no additional cost to the City.
