Renovation of a multi-residential development in Russellville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade multi-residential development.
The project shall consist of the replacement of 2 roof top HVAC package units at Engel Tower for the Russellville Housing Authority in Russellville, Alabama. Only contractors who are properly licensed in accordance with the criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered for bidding the work. Evidence of licensing shall be shown by displaying the current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered, and a copy of the bidder's license must be included with the bid paperwork. Licensing required by local municipalities shall be obtained prior to the execution of the construction contract. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the architect within the project manual or copies thereof. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing for receipt of bids for a period of thirty (30) days. A certified check or bid bond payable to the Housing Authority in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at the signing of the contract and the costs of the bonds shall be included in the contractor's proposal.
