DBE/MBE Participation 2.5% WBE Participation 3% All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. The work involves providing equipment for the Russellville Water System Infrastructure Improvements Project, specifically the Highway 243 Water Booster Pump Station Upgrades. The principal work includes: 1) removing existing vertical turbine pumps and installing new vertical turbine can pumps and a control panel with VFDs, 2) installing a new flow meter and vault (additive alternate), and 3) making electrical connections. Bidders must furnish performance and payment bonds for 100% of the bid amount, abide by a contract period of 230 consecutive calendar days, and are subject to liquidated damages if the contract time is exceeded. Funds are provided through the DWSRF (Clean Water State Revolving Fund), and all applicable federal guidelines must be met. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informality, and to accept any bid considered advantageous to the Owner. No pre-bid conference will be held. No bids may be withdrawn after opening, and the Owner may hold the bids for 60 days following receipt.
