The project consists of the construction of a new two-story building of approximately 43,000 square feet, plus sitework and landscaping, located at the northwest corner of Pioneer Street and N Discovery Drive in Ridgefield, WA. The facility will serve as a community and fitness center with a natatorium, and will be constructed as two conjoined buildings on two separate lots with two tenants: the Community Center (8,000 square feet) and the Recreation Center (35,000 square feet), separated by an area separation wall. The scope of work includes demolition of existing site work (including access road, sediment fencing, landscaping, and above and below grade utilities), sitework (storm detention facilities, utilities, concrete and asphalt paving, curbs, wheel stops, landscaping, and site signage), and construction of a new Type II-B building that is fully sprinkled. The construction uses a mix of concrete, steel, and cross laminated timber, with concrete slab on grade for ground levels and concrete slab on metal deck for elevated levels. Exterior cladding includes metal panel, brick, wood siding, aluminum storefront, and curtainwall, with a single ply membrane roof over rigid insulation. The project also contains identified and delineated wetlands.
