Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Coachella, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a 4,000-square-foot, one-story above grade clubhouse / community center.

As of December 02, 2025,  project has not been awarded and will need to be reposted. No definite date for the rebid. The project involves the design and construction of a public wellness hub. The facility consists of a one-story building, approximately 4,000 square feet. The City plans to renovate the existing community center and transform it into a Wellness Hub. New and updated amenities will include a renovated demonstration kitchen, a renovated multipurpose classroom, a new reception area, LED lighting replacement, and interior/exterior painting of the building. Instructions to bidders require submission of answers to the attached questionnaire, information about current bonding capacity, and a notarized statement from surety. City will use these documents as the basis of rating Design-Builders. Pre-qualification packages should be submitted under seal and marked 'CONFIDENTIAL' to the specified address. Design-Builders who intend to submit a proposal must be pre-qualified prior to submission. If two or more business entities submit as a Joint Venture, each entity must be separately qualified. Each questionnaire must be signed under penalty of perjury by an individual with the legal authority to bind the Design-Builder. Information must be kept accurate and updated. The City reserves the right to waive minor irregularities, refuse incomplete or late applications, and make all final determinations. Appeals must be made in writing by a specified process if a Design-Builder does not meet pre-qualification criteria. Pre-qualification questionnaires are confidential except as permitted by law. Pre-qualification does not guarantee selection after the proposal stage; the City may still evaluate quality, fitness, capacity, and experience for the proposed work. Pre-qualification requirements: Answers to the pre-qualification questionnaire, information about current bonding capacity, and a notarized statement from surety must be submitted. Each business entity in a Joint Venture must be separately qualified. The questionnaire must be signed under penalty of perjury by someone legally authorized to bind the Design-Builder. All information must be kept accurate and updated. Incomplete, late, or inaccurate information is grounds for refusal or denial.
