Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Coachella, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 17,800-square-foot, one-story above grade clubhouse / community center.

This Project will involve the design and remodel, and rehabilitation of a packinghouse to serve as a Community Resiliency Center. The facility consists of a one-story building, approximately 17,800 square feet on a 2.09 Acre lot. The City plans to renovate the existing building and exterior grounds. Services provided at the completed building will range from: emergency operations, emergency shelter, cooling center, commercial demonstration kitchen, office space, commercial space, non-profit operations, business incubator space, classrooms, demonstration gardens, and community events. These areas will be open to all age groups and will provide recreational and education and professionalservicesto youth, teens, adults, and seniors, as well asserve as a climate resiliency and disaster response center in Citywide emergencies. The successful design/build operate team will be responsible for all aspects of design and permitting for both interior and exterior improvements, including structural, electrical, architectural, landscape and civil design and will be responsible for the successful construction of all proposed improvements. Lastly, the design build team will serve as an operational partner for the CRC facility for a minimum of two years after the completion of the structure and will have opportunities to expand upon commercial uses within the facility and develop programming in support of the non-profit and City uses.
