Renovation of an educational facility in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Project consists of but not limited to: There is Blufors research equipment in McCormack rooms 314 & 317 that require cooling water at specific temperatures and pressures. The equipment is presently supplied cooling water off of the building chilled water loop. This project is to bring an independent CW supply off the main in the mechanical room to the research equipment on the third floor. The mechanical equipment, electrical equipment and controls are furnished and installed by the contractor to support the design solution. The Mechanical contractor is to be the Prime contractor and include all trades required to fulfill the implementation of the contract documents. The work is estimated to cost $450,000.00. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online at 5:00PM EDT for general bids. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, Plumbing, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), and made payable to the UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS BOSTON. Note: A bid deposit is no required for Projects advertised under $50,000.
