Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Portland, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot; and one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.

A licensed contractor is required to install and/or repair concrete sidewalks throughout the City of Portland. The scope of work includes excavation, backfilling, disposal of old sidewalk, yard repair when necessary, and installation or repair of sidewalks and related concrete structures. All concrete must be at least 3,000 psi and include expansion joints every 25 linear feet. Driveway aprons and concrete pads are included. Work must meet ADA standards and will require appropriate inspections by City staff prior to approval. Bids should be per square foot and must cover all aspects, including new installation, repair and replacement of sidewalks, and installation of ADA warning pads. Contractors must have a State of Tennessee commercial license and are responsible for obtaining all necessary TN One Calls and inspections. Disadvantaged, minority, and women-owned business enterprises are encouraged to participate. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids and may separate bid line items into individual contracts. The contract term is two years with a one-year renewal option and a maximum of 2.5% price increase in the renewal year. All bids shall include the cost of excavation, backfilling, disposal of old sidewalk, and yard repair when necessary. Concrete shall be bid on at a minimum of 3,000 psi. All concrete is to contain expansion joints every twenty - five (25) linear feet. All prices are to be bid per square foot. This price will also include driveway aprons and concrete pads. The winning bidder must have a State of Tennessee commercial license and will be responsible for obtaining all necessary TN One Calls and have all necessary inspections conducted by City Staff prior to final approval. All final work shall meet ADA standards.
