Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Wharton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a road / highway.
Phase 2 of this project includes water main replacement and water service transfers on Baker Ave between Stickle Street / Denison Way and Racine Street. Phases 3 and 4 are partially funded through NJDOT Municipal Aid grants. The work includes the installation of new granite block curb to reduce pavement width on the east bound lane of Baker Avenue between Stickle Street / Denison Way and east of the Michigan Avenue intersection. This includes granite block curb, concrete sidewalk and curb ramps, installation of new inlets on the new curb line and drainage pipe to connect to existing inlets, driveway repairs, and planting new street trees. The project also includes pavement milling and resurfacing with limited base course pavement repairs to be determined after milling operations, from Stickle Street / Denison Way to Princeton Ave and to Columbia Street. Installation of new traffic stripes, markings, and signage will complete the improvements. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Forms contained in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of the project and the name and address of the bidder.
