Site work and paving for a road / highway in Union Gap, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway.
The City of Union Gap is requesting Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing professional engineering design, bidding, planning, construction observation, and funding administration services for the Main Street Pavement Preservation Project, funded by the National Highway System Asset Management Program. The project covers Main Street from the WSDOT turn-back limits on the south to Franklin Street, approximately 0.85 miles, and involves milling and overlaying the existing pavement, patching failed sections, and applying a 2-inch HMA overlay. The scope also includes upgrading non-compliant ADA curb ramps and pedestrian crossings. Required services may include preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, bid documents, and construction administration. Selection will be based on ability to meet schedule requirements, familiarity with WSDOT/FHWA standards, approach to DBE requirements, and relevant experience. Statements of Qualifications are limited to twenty pages excluding cover letter and covers, and will be evaluated competitively with potential follow-up discussions or interviews with the most qualified firms. Submittals must be sent electronically by the stated deadline.
